I got these bricks from http://kilnlinings.co.uk/firebricks
42GD - 230 x 114 x 76mm for 1.29GBP each. Used just under a 100 bricks to build the kiln.

The insulation blanket I had from somewhere else, but they also have it on kilnlinings website. 

The pyrometer cost me only around 8-10GBP from ebay.
